| May 2010 During this quarter, Qin Caizhi has made great progress in social skills. He has learnt to cooperate with others. We held the activity of performing "Three ogres and a foolish dragon". The children didn't know the animals in the story such as seal, tortoise, fish, foolish dragon and so on. In order to help the children get familiar with the characteristics of these animals, I guided the children to make up environments for these animals. Qin Caizhi was in the same team with Yu Haojing. They made butterfly fish together. In the beginning, they made their own respectively. At times, they quarreled with each other. Caizhi said, "I am cutting the paper. Yu Haojing doesn't cut with me. He goes to play with toys." Yu Haojing said, "Teacher, he doesn't stick the paper with me. He just cuts the paper." It took three days to make the butterfly fish. Other teams had begun to make the second animal already. What should I do to help them learn to cooperate with each other? I decided to affect them with others' experience. And therefore I asked Yu Heyang, the most capable child of the class, to teach them. Heyang told them that they should divide the work. One person cuts paper and the other sticks. In that way, it saved a lot of time and they wouldn't quarrel any more. We should cut the adhesive tape into small pieces and make them available. After they tried this way, they made butterfly fish quickly. Seeing their work, Caizhi felt very proud. He told me, "I know how to make butterfly fish now." I said, "Will you quarrel with Haojing?" He shook his head and said, "No, I won't. I cut adhesive tape and he sticks the paper. We won't quarrel with each other."
